One of the most beautiful things you could do around Taksim could be riding the second oldest subway of the world. When you arrive at Tunnel at the end of Istiklal Avenue, it is possible to go to Karakoy by this short subway and get lost in the historical texture of Karakoy.
MEETING POINT FOR CELEBRITIES: CIHANGIR
If you want to see the TV series celebrities, the famous names from the high society pages of newspapers all together, the place you must go is obviously Cihangir. You can enjoy the most bohemian part of the city by walking among the antique dealers and boutique cafés starting from Karakoy.
IS IT FRENCH STREET OR ALGERIA STREET?
If you walk down from Cihangir, you arrive at Galatasaray High School, one of the deepest-rooted high schools of Turkey, where numerous famous people have received education. On the stairway street near the high school, the cafés embrace a wonderful view. Although its name has later been changed to Algeria, this cute corner of Taksim is known as French Street.
